About the role#
Qorvo is hiring an RFIC Design Intern for our High Performance Analog business group. You will gain work experience through assignments that involve designing functional blocks and supporting circuit development in CMOS, BiCMOS, and RFSOI technologies.
What you'll do#
- Contribute to the design of millimeter-wave functional blocks including LNAs, PAs, VCOs, mixers, phase shifters, attenuators, and switches.
- Perform active device and electromagnetic modeling for high-frequency designs.
- Meet performance requirements while balancing size, cost, power dissipation, and project schedules.
- Collaborate with your team to produce design schematics, simulations, and lab data.
- Use signal generators, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, and power meters to compare simulated results against real lab measurements.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering with a focus on RF/mmW IC design.
- Minimum GPA of 3.3.
- Coursework or experience in RF/mmW circuit design.
- Familiarity with software including ADS, Cadence, HFSS, and EMX.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools like Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Detail-oriented approach to ensure the delivery of high-yielding products.
- Effective organizational skills for planning and scheduling tasks.
- Exposure to RF measurement equipment such as spectrum analyzers and network analyzers is preferred.
