About the role#
This internship position within the Advanced Cellular business group provides hands-on experience in semiconductor design. You will work on projects that contribute to the development of functional blocks for RF modules. This is a full-time, paid internship based on-site in Hillsboro, Oregon.
What you'll do#
- Design functional blocks including power amplifiers, LNAs, switches, and acoustic filters.
- Balance performance requirements with constraints like cost, size, and project schedules.
- Create designs for LTE, carrier aggregation, power management, and antenna systems.
- Adjust designs to meet specific customer needs regarding ESD, ruggedness, and quality.
- Develop design schematics and simulations while gathering real lab data.
- Operate test equipment such as signal generators, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, and power meters.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a BS, MS, or PhD program for Electrical Engineering.
- A minimum GPA of 3.0.
- Completed coursework in analog or RF circuit design.
- Experience with software tools such as ADS, AWR, FEM, HFSS, Momentum, Cadence, Dynamic Link, or Python.
- Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills.
- Attention to detail for high-yield product delivery.
- Familiarity with RF measurement equipment is preferred.
