About the role#
The RF Design Engineering Intern position is part of the High Performance Analog business group at Qorvo. You will work on real projects that contribute to the design and testing of semiconductor solutions. This internship provides exposure to engineering workflows and mentorship from industry experts.
What you'll do#
- Design mm-wave amplifiers and switches using GaAs or GaN technologies, both as standalone ICs and within integrated modules.
- Run linear, non-linear, and electromagnetic (EM) simulations.
- Measure and analyze the RF performance of MMICs and modules in the lab.
- Assist engineers with laminate package characterization, probe testing, and data analysis.
- Prepare and present design reviews to your peers to summarize your work and results.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited BS, MS, or PhD program in Electrical Engineering.
- A GPA of 3.5 or higher.
- Completed coursework related to RF circuit design.
- Familiarity with ADS or MWO CAD simulation software.
- Experience with EM solvers such as Sonnet, Momentum, Axiem, or HFSS.
- Strong communication skills and a self-starting attitude.
- Note: This position does not offer visa sponsorship.

- The position is full-time and paid.
- The internship follows a rolling schedule.
