About the role#
As an intern on the Antenna Technologies team, you will work with engineers to develop phased array antenna solutions for defense and aerospace applications. You will complete a project tailored to your capabilities and the current needs of the team. This role provides hands-on experience in a collaborative environment.
What you'll do#
- Complete an intern project based on your skills and team requirements.
- Develop a demonstration system to showcase existing antenna designs.
- Test existing designs to identify performance variations over production.
- Implement and validate new calibration routines.
- Validate new test setups for over the air antenna testing.
- Collaborate with mmWave antenna, electrical, RF component, and PCB design engineers on phased array projects.
- Design passive circuit components, such as power splitters, combiners, and transmission lines.
- Perform hands-on testing and troubleshooting of RF and mmWave prototypes, including power supplies and control circuits.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an Engineering degree program, pursuing a Master’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum GPA of 3.0.
- Experience with RF circuit or antenna design using AWR, CST, or HFSS.
- Experience designing or testing RF and mmWave circuits and systems.
- Proficiency in Python scripting or programming.
- Knowledge of phased array antennas, beamforming networks, or RF front-end assemblies.
- Experience working with PCB fabrication and assembly vendors.
- Hands-on experience with RF test equipment like VNAs, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, and probe stations.
- Strong technical communication skills to summarize test results and design decisions.
