About the role#
Qorvo is hiring a Characterization Engineering Intern to join our Advanced Cellular business group. This role offers hands-on experience in a semiconductor manufacturing environment. You will work on technical projects that support our RF product development and testing processes.
What you'll do#
- Write automated test software to control equipment and run test sequences.
- Help design and develop hardware solutions for complex RF measurements.
- Evaluate and select RF test equipment.
- Perform RF characterization testing and analyze data to ensure product compliance.
- Use tools like spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, signal generators, and digital pattern generators to measure RF devices.
- Process and verify measured data, then create reports and presentations.
- Build custom tools to improve data visualization, big data analysis, lab efficiency, and lean manufacturing metrics.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a BS, MS, or PhD program in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- A minimum GPA of 3.0.
- Experience or coursework in Analog/RF circuit design.
- Proficiency in Python, C#, or a similar object-oriented programming language.
- Familiarity with data analysis tools such as Spotfire, JMP, or R.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Effective organization skills for planning and scheduling tasks.

- This position is based on-site in Greensboro, North Carolina.
- This is a full-time, paid internship.
