Intern, Quantum Applications

About the role#

This internship focuses on the development of quantum algorithms and quantum compilation to address real-world challenges in chemistry, drug design, materials science, and fluid dynamics. You will work within a team dedicated to making quantum systems commercially valuable.

What you'll do#

• Develop quantum algorithms to solve impactful problems.
• Optimize ubiquitous subroutines in fault-tolerant quantum algorithms.
• Compile quantum algorithms to logical gate sets.
• Incorporate architecture-aware optimizations.
• Estimate quantum resources for specific applications.

What you'll need#

• Currently studying for, or completed, a postgraduate degree in quantum algorithms, quantum circuit compilation, fault tolerance, or a related field.
• Alternatively, 5+ years of professional experience in one or more of these fields.
• Proficiency in programming languages, such as Python.
• Experience with collaborative software development tools, such as Git.
• A creative and adaptable approach to problem-solving and the ability to work effectively in a team.
