About the role#
As a Legal, Risk and Compliance Intern, you will work with clients to solve complex business problems. You will gain exposure to different industries, build technical and professional capabilities, and develop leadership qualities. The role involves hands-on training, collaboration with team members, and support from a network of advisors. You will participate in onboarding and experiential learning courses designed to help you transition into the team.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with the team to deliver high-quality, client-focused solutions.
- Develop knowledge in core business processes within financial services, technology, and healthcare.
- Work within internal control and risk frameworks, as well as regulator and compliance methodologies.
- Develop key deliverables including process flows, work programs, reports, and control summaries.
- Review transactions to provide process improvement recommendations.
- Address legal, risk, and compliance challenges.
- Work within segments such as financial crime, anti-money laundering, risk management, credit services, regulatory compliance, consumer protection, analytics, and legal consulting.
What you'll need#
- Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Juris Doctor degree in a relevant discipline, such as Accounting, Mathematics, Criminal Justice, Data Science, Economics, Finance, Political Science, or Statistics.
- Must be within one year of final graduation at the time of the internship.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Experience solving problems using AI-powered productivity and collaboration tools.
- Advanced verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to apply critical thinking and innovation to client engagements.
- Technical proficiency aligning to your assigned capability area.
- Ability to work effectively both in teams and independently.
- A passion for evaluating, synthesizing, organizing, and interpreting data.
- A growth mindset and the ability to embrace challenges.
- Familiarity with banking, compliance, insurance, legal innerworkings, and asset management.
- Ability to convey complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
