About the role#
Internal Audit and Financial Advisory interns work with clients to solve complex business problems. You will collaborate with teams to deliver high-quality solutions, gain experience across various industries, and build professional capabilities. This role offers hands-on training and interaction with leaders, providing a foundation for your future career. You will participate in the Liftoff with Protiviti onboarding experience and attend The Intern Challenge to build connections and professional confidence.
What you'll do#
- Explore business processes to identify and mitigate emerging risks.
- Develop creative solutions to complex business challenges.
- Help clients meet regulatory and compliance requirements.
- Improve the efficiency and effectiveness of core business processes.
- Assess and advise across technology areas, including cybersecurity, AI risk, and data governance.
- Engage in internal initiatives and work across diverse industries.
What you'll need#
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in progress in Accounting, Computer Science, Data Science, Finance, or a related field.
- Current enrollment in a degree program with an expected graduation date within 12 months of completing the internship.
- Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.
- Proficiency in applying AI tools to analytical and research tasks.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and data visualization tools like Power BI.
- Understanding of internal audit processes.
- Entry-level proficiency in software development, best practices, and methodologies.
- Interest in advanced analytics and automation technologies.
- Ability to apply critical thinking and innovation to client engagements.

- Location: Los Angeles, California.
- Modality: Hybrid work model.
- Status: Full-time internship.
- Compensation: $28 - $38 per hour.
