About the role#
This is an 8-week internship program for Summer 2027 based in Oklahoma City. You will work with Central Oklahoma lending and credit teams to observe and review financial reports. The goal is to determine risks involved in extending credit. You will work alongside lenders and portfolio managers to monitor the existing loan portfolio and help with new client development.
What you'll do#
- Spread and analyze commercial financial statements for new and existing customers.
- Help perform financial analysis and underwriting for loan packages.
- Prepare charts and narratives regarding sources and uses, capitalization, historical and projected statements, stress testing, and collateral valuation.
- Assist with diligence tasks, including industry and market analysis.
- Review loan request packages, such as loan structuring, guarantor analysis, and debt service coverage calculations.
- Obtain and analyze materials to evaluate collateral value.
- Participate in department rotations and shadowing opportunities.
- Complete a final summer project centered on a loan presentation.
What you'll need#
- Pursuit of a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance.
- Experience with Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and Word.
- Ability to manage multiple transactions at once and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical skills to interpret complex financial data and identify risks.
- Clear verbal and written communication skills.
Location & details#
- This position is located at the NW Expressway banking center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
- This is a full-time, on-site role with a schedule of Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
- Applicants must be based in the OKC metro area. Housing and relocation costs are not provided.
