About the role#
This internship offers undergraduate students hands-on experience in financial communications. You will work alongside account teams to support clients in financial services, technology, and B2B sectors. The program provides structured training, mentorship, and professional development to build a foundation in media relations, writing, and account management. This is a full-time, paid summer role.
What you'll do#
- Support account teams with media monitoring, research, coverage tracking, and media list development.
- Identify relevant reporters, publications, and industry trends.
- Assist in creating pitches, briefing materials, and other written content for clients.
- Monitor breaking news to find timely media opportunities.
- Participate in internal account meetings and observe client calls.
- Conduct research for client work and new business opportunities.
- Take ownership of assigned projects while managing your time and priorities.
What you'll need#
- You are a rising senior pursuing a bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, business administration, or economics.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Intellectual curiosity regarding current events, business, and the media.
- Research and critical-thinking skills.
- Ability to work well within a team.
- High attention to detail.
- A desire to learn, accept feedback, and take on responsibility.
- Interest in financial services, professional services, technology, or B2B communications.
