About the role#
The Business Optimization Intern supports the Commercial Business Optimization and Supply Chain functions at PROPWR. You will help develop data-driven tools and technology-enabled solutions to improve decision-making and business efficiency. This role offers hands-on experience with supply chain analytics, inventory optimization, and artificial intelligence applications within the power generation industry.
What you'll do#
- Build and implement data-driven tools, dashboards, and business applications.
- Gather, organize, and analyze data across business functions to identify trends and risks.
- Help evaluate and apply artificial intelligence and automation technologies.
- Support supply chain initiatives, including purchasing, supplier performance, and inventory management.
- Create reports, visualizations, and business insights to support commercial strategy.
- Work with Commercial, Supply Chain, Operations, Maintenance, and Finance teams.
- Document workflows and maintain business process guides.
- Prepare presentations and summaries for leadership.
- Follow all Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies.
What you'll need#
- Active enrollment in a BS or MS program for Computer, Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, Chemical, or Aerospace Engineering.
- Availability to work 10 to 20 hours per week.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365.
- Strong organization and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently with a strong work ethic.
- Clear verbal and written communication skills.
