About the role#
This internship is the front door to our growth engine. You will sit inside the marketing team and own the first conversation a prospective client has with us. You will research companies, reach out with a relevant point of view, and book qualified meetings for our consulting leaders. You will report to the Marketing Director for coaching on messaging and pipeline. This is a hands-on role where you will manage your own target list and outreach numbers starting in your third week.
What you'll do#
- Build and maintain target account and contact lists using LinkedIn Sales Navigator and our CRM.
- Research prospects to ensure outreach is specific, focusing on industry, data maturity, recent news, and pain points.
- Run outbound outreach by email, LinkedIn, and phone using sequences you help improve.
- Qualify inbound leads from our website, webinars, and content downloads.
- Book discovery calls for senior consultants and prepare a short brief before each meeting.
- Maintain a clean CRM by logging all activity and updating records.
- Report weekly on outreach metrics, meetings booked, and market insights.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in or recent completion of a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Computer Science, Machine Learning, AI, Data Science, Computational Linguistics, or a related field.
- Current or recent degree in business, marketing, communications, economics, or equivalent capability.
- Strong written communication skills to draft clear emails for busy executives.
- Comfort with cold calling and initiating conversations with new people.
- Ability to manage a few hundred accounts while remaining self-directed and organized.
- Resilience in the face of rejection.
- Legal authorization to work in Canada for the duration of the internship.
- Prior experience in sales, customer service, or recruiting is a plus.
- Familiarity with CRM or sales engagement tools and an interest in data and AI are preferred.
Location & details#
- Location: Vancouver, British Columbia (on-site).
- Schedule: Full-time, Monday to Friday.
- Compensation: $23 per hour.
- Term: Rolling.
