About the role#
ProCogia is hiring a DevOps & Cloud Platform Intern for the Winter 2027 term. This role is for final-year Bachelor’s or current Master’s students interested in cloud infrastructure, platform engineering, and automation. You will work alongside our Cloud Platform Engineer on real engineering initiatives, supporting the infrastructure that enables our AI and LLM research teams. We prioritize candidates with strong fundamentals and a desire to learn through documentation and mentorship.
What you'll do#
- Support cloud environments primarily on AWS.
- Assist with Infrastructure as Code, environment provisioning, and automation.
- Build and improve CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows.
- Build, deploy, and troubleshoot applications using Docker, with exposure to Kubernetes.
- Work in Linux environments and strengthen command-line troubleshooting skills.
- Manage networking, IAM, permissions, secrets, authentication, and cloud security fundamentals.
- Assist with monitoring, logging, alerts, incident investigation, and reliability improvements.
- Build reusable scripts, templates, and technical documentation.
- Participate in technical discussions, demos, architecture reviews, and knowledge sharing.
- Set up AI and LLM development environments, including containerizing models, APIs, and services.
- Support cloud compute and GPU environments while automating deployment workflows.
- Support experimentation with LLMs, RAG, agents, and generative AI.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment as a final-year Bachelor’s or current Master’s student in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, IT, Data Science, or a related field.
- Interest in DevOps, Cloud, Platform Engineering, Infrastructure, or SRE.
- Familiarity with Linux, Git, cloud concepts, and Docker.
- Experience with Python, Bash, PowerShell, Go, JavaScript, or another scripting or programming language.
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, communication, and learning skills.
- Eligibility for the Government of Canada's Student Work Placement Program (SWPP), which requires being a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person granted refugee protection, and being enrolled as a full-time student at a recognized Canadian post-secondary institution for the duration of the placement.
