About the role#
ProAmpac is hiring an intern to work on-site at our Manistique, Michigan facility. This is a full-time, paid position that offers a rolling start date. You will work alongside our engineering teams to support manufacturing processes and facility operations.
What you'll do#
- Collect and analyze data regarding production performance and process improvements.
- Assist engineers with the planning, design, and testing of product or process modifications.
- Help with root cause analysis to resolve quality or production issues.
- Create and update technical documents, standard operating procedures, and engineering drawings.
- Conduct equipment evaluations, workflow layouts, and line balance studies.
- Work with the Maintenance, Quality, and Operations teams.
- Support waste reduction and sustainability initiatives.
- Present project findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
- Ensure all projects follow safety and environmental regulations.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor degree program for Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, Environmental, or Chemical Engineering.
- A minimum GPA of 3.0.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to balance multiple tasks.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Familiarity with Visio, Teams, and Outlook is a plus.
- Ability to communicate clearly through writing, verbal updates, and presentations.
- A proactive approach to problem solving and decision making.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with strict confidentiality.
