About the role#
This is a non-paid student internship for individuals pursuing a Master of Arts degree. The role provides an opportunity to gain practical experience in a medical practice setting while completing educational requirements.
What you'll do#
- Participate in training and educational activities related to counseling or social work.
- Assist in providing support services to clients.
- Engage in group discussions and workshops on relevant topics.
- Collaborate with other interns and staff members on projects.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to professional ethical guidelines.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an applicable field of study, including Psychology, Public Health, Nursing, Health Administration, Sociology, Human Resources, or Criminal Justice.
- A letter of good standing from your educational institution.
- A current resume.
- Compliance with required testing and immunizations, including TB, Hepatitis B, Tdap, MMR, Varicella, and seasonal influenza vaccines.
- Successful completion of a criminal records check if assigned to the Checkerboard Area Health System.
