About the role#
The Office of Academic Affairs is hiring a Graduate Assistant to provide administrative and academic support. This role focuses on maintaining accurate academic information and assisting the Office of the Provost with policy and compliance tasks. You will work 25 hours per week in an on-site capacity.
What you'll do#
- Monitor and review documents on the HB 2504 webpage.
- Check academic webpages to ensure catalog information is accurate.
- Follow up on textbook orders.
- Assist with policy reviews and Open Educational Resources (OER) projects.
- Handle clerical duties including answering phones, filing, and other assigned tasks.
What you'll need#
- A bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- Current enrollment as a full-time graduate student at Prairie View A&M University (minimum of 9 graduate credits per semester).
- Good academic standing with a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat Professional.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
- A commitment to accuracy, integrity, and professional conduct.
- Familiarity with academic integrity principles, compliance standards, and higher education governance is a plus.
