About the role#
As an Automation and Technical Training Co-op, you will support the development of hands-on training solutions at our St. Thomas facility. This role focuses on improving technical training environments through automation and the design of learning experiences. This is a 4 month, paid, full-time position for a current student at a Canadian institution.
What you'll do#
- Support the design and creation process of automation learning experiences and training equipment.
- Assist in the creation of curriculum and learning materials.
- Customize learning paths based on specific shop floor roles.
- Assist with project tracking, including communication with internal customers, stakeholders, and external providers.
What you'll need#
- Currently completing a bachelors degree in Mechatronics, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, Automation, Robotics, or a related field.
- Basic knowledge of Siemens PLC, vision systems, and safety sensors.
- Mechanical aptitude and a hands-on mindset.
- Strong organizational and documentation skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- A curious and creative approach to problem-solving.

- Compensation: $27 per hour.
