    About the role#

    Pike Engineering is looking for a Student Intern to support civil and structural engineering initiatives. This is a paid, full-time position based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The role operates on a rolling basis and requires on-site attendance.

    What you'll do#

    You will assist with various engineering projects and operational tasks. Responsibilities include:

    • Managing small capital or expense projects.
    • Creating project schedules, milestones, and deliverables using Microsoft Project.
    • Maintaining spreadsheets and databases.
    • Drafting operational and maintenance training documentation.
    • Preparing project savings and justification reports.
    • Assisting with engineering issue resolution.
    • Handling clerical tasks such as document creation, review, and filing.
    • Managing project spending documentation.
    • Completing special assignments as needed.

    What you'll need#

    • Current enrollment at an accredited college or university pursuing a degree in Civil Engineering.
    • A High School Diploma or GED.
    • Proficiency with computers and the Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to manage complex tasks and conflicting priorities.
    • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
    • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
    • A self-motivated and customer-oriented approach.
