About the role#
The Transmission Line Student Intern supports various engineering initiatives and projects at Pike Engineering. This is a part-time, on-site role based in Fort Mill, South Carolina. You will assist with technical documentation, project management tasks, and general clerical activities to keep operations running smoothly.
What you'll do#
- Manage spreadsheets and databases.
- Create project schedules, milestones, and deliverables using Microsoft Project.
- Assist in managing small capital or expense projects, including spending documentation.
- Draft project savings and justification documents.
- Prepare operational and maintenance training materials.
- Handle document creation, review, and filing.
- Use engineering principles to help solve project issues.
- Take on special projects as assigned.
What you'll need#
- A High School Diploma or GED.
- Current enrollment at an accredited college or university.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Skill in managing complex tasks and conflicting priorities.
- A self-motivated and customer-oriented approach.
