About the role#
This is a PRN student position for those currently pursuing a career in radiologic technology. You will gain hands-on experience in a hospital setting while working under the guidance of staff technologists. This role is on-site in Cartersville.
What you'll do#
- Operate radiologic equipment to produce clinical diagnostic radiographs.
- Perform routine diagnostic procedures following established standards.
- Position patients and select the correct protocols for imaging.
- Provide patient education and clear communication.
- Follow radiation safety policies and dose reduction programs.
- Work with patients across all age groups, from neonates to geriatrics.
- Ensure imaging is reviewed by staff technologists before submission.
- Accompany staff technologists when performing exams in surgery or the ICU.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a 2nd year student in an accredited radiological technology program.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification upon hire.
- No prior work experience is required.
