About the role#
Photon Brothers is looking for a part-time HR & People Operations Intern to join our team in Centennial, Colorado. This role provides direct experience in compliance, recruiting, and employee programs. You will support our operations across Colorado and California while gaining exposure to HR systems and workforce development. This is a paid position requiring 15 to 25 hours per week with a flexible schedule.
What you'll do#
- Manage compliance tasks, such as tracking OSHA training and DORA requirements.
- Maintain records for licenses, certifications, and apprenticeship hours.
- Update employee files and documentation in Rippling.
- Handle I-9 and E-Verify records.
- Assist with benefits administration, including open enrollment and carrier files.
- Coordinate recruiting tasks like posting jobs on Indeed, screening applicants, and scheduling interviews.
- Support employer branding and candidate experience initiatives.
- Help run bi-annual performance review cycles.
- Assist with new hire onboarding and general employee communications.
What you'll need#
- A degree in Human Resources, Business, or Psychology.
- A clear interest in building a career in Human Resources.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Google Workspace, specifically Sheets.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with professionalism.
- Strong communication skills for working with internal teams and external partners.
- A self-starter mindset with the ability to own projects.
- Experience with HRIS systems is a plus.

- Location: Centennial, Colorado (On-site).
- Compensation: $18 to $25 per hour.
