Design Draftsman Intern

About the role#

The Design Draftsman Intern will assist with mechanical, structural, and electrical drawing packages related to aircraft and rotorcraft repairs and modifications. This role involves a mix of hands-on work, research, process specification, and project file maintenance.

What you'll do#

• Create multiview, pictorial, and schematic technical drawings under supervision.
• Prepare mechanical and electrical drawings, ranging from rough sketches to production-quality documents.
• Modify existing off-the-shelf products to meet company requirements and create necessary documentation.
• Design and set up mockups in coordination with other departments.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure all design drawings are accurate and complete.

What you'll need#

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Familiarity with design software, such as AutoCAD.
• Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong self-driven time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management.
• A portfolio of recent, applicable work is preferred.
