About the role#
The Design Draftsman Intern will assist with mechanical, structural, and electrical drawing packages related to aircraft and rotorcraft repairs and modifications. This role involves a mix of hands-on work, research, process specification, and project file maintenance.
What you'll do#
- Create multiview, pictorial, and schematic technical drawings under supervision.
- Prepare mechanical and electrical drawings, ranging from rough sketches to production-quality documents.
- Modify existing off-the-shelf products to meet company requirements and create necessary documentation.
- Design and set up mockups in coordination with other departments.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure all design drawings are accurate and complete.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- Familiarity with design software, such as AutoCAD.
- Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong self-driven time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management.
- A portfolio of recent, applicable work is preferred.
