About the role#
As a Veterinary Student Ambassador, you will represent Vetco Total Care at your school. This role is a short-term contract designed to support student engagement through events and outreach. You will act as a bridge between your school and our Educational Outreach team.
What you'll do#
- Plan, coordinate, and advertise four live events for classmates each year, such as lunch and learns or wet labs.
- Connect student program advisors or professors with the Educational Outreach team and Area Medical Director.
- Encourage participation by communicating event details to classmates.
- Ensure events run smoothly by managing pre-planning and ordering necessary supplies.
- Provide feedback and ideas to the Educational Outreach coordinator regarding future programming.
- Represent Vetco Total Care at career fairs and alumni events.
- Share information about externships, mentorship, and job opportunities.
- Attend a monthly 30-minute check-in call with your Educational Outreach Coordinator via Zoom.
- Attend a monthly personal development call with a local Area Medical Director.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a 1st, 2nd, or 3rd year Veterinary Student in good academic standing.
- A genuine interest in general practice.
- Strong organization and communication skills.
- The ability to work well with others.
- A desire to motivate peers to participate in learning and social events.
- You must not currently hold a conflicting student ambassador role.
Location & details#
- This is a remote position.
- The term is rolling with the possibility of annual renewal.
- This is a paid, part-time contract role.
