About the role#
As a Veterinary Student Ambassador, you act as the primary link between your veterinary school and the Vetco Total Care team. This role is a part-time, remote contract position designed to foster connections between students and professional opportunities in general practice. You will represent the brand at school events while helping your peers discover mentorship and career paths.
What you'll do#
- Plan, coordinate, and market four live events per year for your classmates, such as lunch and learns, wet labs, and social gatherings.
- Connect your school's faculty or program advisors with the Educational Outreach team and Area Medical Director.
- Encourage student participation through email and internal communication channels.
- Manage event logistics, including pre-planning, ordering necessary supplies, and marketing.
- Provide feedback to the Educational Outreach coordinator on event topics that interest your classmates.
- Attend a monthly 30-minute check-in call with your Educational Outreach Coordinator via Zoom.
- Participate in a monthly personal development call with a local Area Medical Director.
- Represent Vetco Total Care at school career fairs and alumni events.
- Share information regarding externships, mentorship programs, and job openings.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a 1st, 2nd, or 3rd year Veterinary Student in good academic standing.
- A genuine interest in general practice.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work well with others and motivate classmates to participate in events.
- You must not hold a conflicting student ambassador role at another organization.
Location & details#
- This is a remote role based in Florida.
- This position is a paid, part-time contract role with the possibility of annual renewal.
- Term is on a rolling basis.
