INTERN - PUBLIC RELATIONS - RESORT MKT - CRDE

About the role#

This internship provides hands-on experience in the Public Relations department at Pearl River Resort. You will rotate through various areas of the department, including guest services and recovery, to gain a comprehensive understanding of resort communications and hospitality operations.

What you'll do#

• Rotate through different departments to learn specific operational responsibilities.
• Respond to guest complaints using the online tracking system and manage the resolution process.
• Assist with the processing and filing of donations and sponsorships.
• Create resort-wide communications, including emails, letters, and press announcements.
• Participate in the planning and execution of special events.
• Attend daily training sessions to familiarize yourself with team duties and professional standards.

What you'll need#

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High School diploma or GED required.
• Must be entering your Sophomore, Junior, or Senior year of college, or be a recent college graduate (documentation required).
• Preferred majors include Communications, Public Health, Marketing, Business Administration, or Political Science.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret safety rules, operating manuals, and procedure documents.
• Ability to lift or maneuver at least 40 pounds and remain standing or walking for the duration of a shift.
