INTERN - FINANCE - ACCOUNTING - FINANCE - CRDE (TEMPORARY/VARIES)

About the role#

This internship provides practical experience within the Accounting and Finance department at Pearl River Resort. Interns will rotate through various functional areas to gain insight into the full life cycle of finance operations within the gaming and hospitality industry. This is a paid, full-time, on-site position with a rolling term.

What you'll do#

• Participate in daily training sessions to familiarize yourself with team duties and areas of expertise.
• Partner with area experts to assist with tasks such as accounting paperwork, audit, purchasing, payroll, and receiving.
• Rotate through different departments to learn specific responsibilities and gain insights into how finance operations support resort growth.
• Learn the importance of guest service within the hospitality industry.
• Contribute to a safe work environment by following safety guidelines and reporting potential hazards.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment as a Sophomore, Junior, or Senior in college, or recent college graduation (documentation required).
• High School diploma or GED.
• Thorough understanding of Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Publisher, and PowerPoint.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to perform mathematical concepts including fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions.
• Physical ability to lift or maneuver at least 40 pounds and stand or walk for the duration of the shift.
• Ability to work a varying schedule to meet business needs.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
