About the role#
The IT Intern position provides hands-on experience across various segments of the IT department at Pearl River Resort. You will rotate through different teams to gain a well-rounded understanding of corporate IT operations, contributing to projects from inception to execution. This is a paid, full-time, on-site internship.
What you'll do#
- Rotate through different IT teams to learn specific technical tasks and project workflows.
- Participate in daily training sessions to integrate with IT staff and understand departmental responsibilities.
- Assist with technical tasks and engage in ongoing developmental opportunities to refine your skills.
- Apply principles of exceptional customer service to enhance guest satisfaction.
- Maintain a professional reputation for the department, company, and community.
- Contribute to a safe work environment by following safety guidelines and reporting potential hazards.
What you'll need#
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Currently enrolled as a Sophomore, Junior, or Senior in college, or a recent college graduate (proof required).
- Preferred majors: Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Business Administration.
- Familiarity with PC operating systems, Microsoft Office, and standard computer hardware and peripherals.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and perform data analysis.

- Location: Choctaw, Mississippi.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: Full-time with a flexible schedule required to meet business needs, including potential work in areas with tobacco smoke and moderate noise levels.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand and move for the duration of a shift, perform activities such as bending and climbing, and occasionally lift up to 40 pounds.
