About the role#
This internship provides an opportunity to gain practical experience and insights into the full life cycle of an employee, from hire to retirement. You will rotate through various Human Resources departments, including Employment, Benefits, Training, and Associate Relations, while working alongside area experts to understand specific job duties and operational procedures.
What you'll do#
- Participate in daily training sessions to familiarize yourself with HR functions.
- Rotate through different HR areas to learn their specific responsibilities and gain hands-on experience.
- Assist associates with self-service tasks and orientation processes.
- Learn the importance of guest service in the hospitality industry using the WIN model.
- Contribute to a safe work environment by following safety guidelines and reporting potential hazards.
- Maintain a professional reputation for the department and the company.
What you'll need#
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Must be entering your sophomore, junior, or senior year of college, or be a recent college graduate (documentation required).
- Thorough understanding of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Ability to write simple correspondence and present information in one-on-one or small group settings.
- Physical ability to lift or maneuver at least 40 pounds and stand or walk for the duration of a shift.
- Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, climb, reach, twist, and grip throughout the shift.
Location & details#
- Location: Choctaw, Mississippi.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: Must be able to work varying schedules to meet business needs.
- Environment: You may be exposed to wet or humid conditions, fumes, airborne particles, extreme temperatures, and tobacco smoke. Noise levels range from moderate to loud on the casino floor.
