System Integration and Test Engineer Intern

About the role#

As a System Integration and Test Engineer Intern, you will support the integration testing and functional verification of energy storage systems. You will work across battery management systems (BMS), inverters, and power electronics to help build out benchtop and hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) test capabilities. This role involves collaborating with firmware, design, and simulation teams to manage the test lifecycle, from procedure development to data analysis and reporting.

What you'll do#

• Support functional testing of BMS, inverters, and other components within energy storage products.
• Design, set up, and operate benchtop and HIL test environments for BMS validation.
• Develop and execute test scripts to advance test automation efforts.
• Assist in the creation of test plans and procedures for both electrical and mechanical systems.
• Analyze test data, document findings, and support the troubleshooting of issues identified during testing.
• Interface with design, simulation, and manufacturing teams to inform product design decisions.

What you'll need#

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience interfacing with microcontrollers and writing scripts for functional testing.
• Proficiency in Python or a similar programming language.
• Basic familiarity with electromechanical test setups.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Comfort working hands-on with hardware and laboratory equipment.
