About the role#
We are looking for an Integrated Construction Technology Student to join our Ottawa district for a 4-month term starting in January 2027. This is a full-time, paid, on-site position.
What you'll do#
- Develop key construction plans, including site safety, site access, and site trailer layouts.
- Draft plans for temporary electricity, hoist access, crane swing, and demolition.
- Build your technical skills in building information modeling (BIM) software, including Revit, Navisworks, Enscape, Fuzor, and Lumion.
- Gain experience with scheduling and 4D scheduling programs like P6 and Synchro.
What you'll need#
- You are currently working toward a degree or diploma in architectural technology or a related field.
- You have a strong interest in working in a construction environment.
- You have a good working knowledge of Revit.
- You are comfortable using computer software for word processing, spreadsheets, and drafting.
- You are eligible to obtain and maintain a Government of Canada security clearance at the Reliability Status level.
- Prior field construction experience is an asset.
