About the role#
As a Field Engineer Intern, you will support the delivery of infrastructure projects while gaining hands-on experience. You will work alongside field staff, project managers, and trade partners to help complete complex construction tasks.
What you'll do#
- Assist Field and Project Engineers, Project Managers, and Superintendents with daily operations.
- Conduct safety and quality audits on site.
- Read and interpret project drawings and specifications.
- Log submittals, process RFIs, and prepare necessary reports.
- Assist with surveying and project layout tasks.
- Maintain and update field drawings, equipment, and project records.
- Coordinate material deliveries, documentation, and communication with subcontractors and vendors.
- Attend project meetings and prepare documentation such as memos, letters, and meeting minutes.
- Assist with estimating and soliciting pricing from subcontractors or suppliers.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a full-time student in a construction-related degree, such as construction management, engineering, or technology.
- A strong interest in pursuing a career in the construction industry.
- Availability to work full time from May to August 2027.
- Willingness to temporarily relocate to project locations as needed.
- Proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
- You must be at least 18 years of age and hold a valid Driver's License.
- Ability to pass a substance abuse test as a condition of employment.
