About the role#
We are hiring an Engineering or Technical Student for our Saskatoon district. This is a full-time, paid position for the Winter 2027 term. You will work on-site and gain hands-on experience in the construction industry.
What you'll do#
- Coordinate drawings and work scopes for specific trades and sub-trades.
- Review trade quotes by verifying hours, rates, and material quantities.
- Participate in project meetings.
- Conduct deficiency walks and maintain deficiency logs.
- Issue warranties and coordinate progress photos.
- Update field drawings and produce as-built drawings.
- Perform quantity takeoffs and verify site conditions.
- Maintain project records.
- Update project schedules and create manual schedules using Primavera P6 EPPM software.
- Create and maintain graphical schedules using AutoCAD.
- Monitor workforce productivity.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a post-secondary institution with plans to return or graduate after this term.
- A strong desire to work in a construction environment.
- Proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet applications, and drafting software.
- Prior field construction experience is an asset.
