About the role#
We are hiring an Engineering Student for our Atlantic Canada district. This is a full-time, paid position for the Winter 2027 term, starting in January 2027. You will work on-site to gain hands-on experience on real construction projects.
What you'll do#
- Conduct trade quote reviews by verifying material quantities, hours, and rates.
- Perform quantity takeoffs and update project schedules.
- Update, coordinate, and produce drawings while verifying site conditions.
- Coordinate and supervise sub-trade work.
- Conduct deficiency walks and maintain deficiency logs.
- Issue warranties and manage record keeping.
- Take and coordinate progress photos.
- Obtain scheduling information from sub-trades and perform other duties as needed.
What you'll need#
- Working towards a degree or diploma in civil engineering or a related field.
- Proficiency with software programs including word processing, spreadsheets, and drafting.
- A self-motivated, hands-on approach to your work.
- A genuine interest in the construction environment.
- Prior field construction experience is an asset.
Location & details#
This role is based on-site in one of the following locations: Halifax, Antigonish, or Cape Breton, Nova Scotia; Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island; or Fredericton, New Brunswick.
