About the role#
As an Accounting Student in Phoenix, you will gain hands-on experience in construction accounting. You will support budgeting, forecasting, cost tracking, and financial reporting activities that contribute to project success.
What you'll do#
- Monitor and assist with the implementation of project HSE plans, environmental plans, regulatory requirements, and safe work practices.
- Identify and help conduct project-specific HSE training.
- Provide the project team with safety information and trends to help create action plans.
- Assist in developing and implementing hazard identification tools.
- Conduct project HSE inspections and verify that corrective actions are implemented.
- Support the implementation of emergency response plans and monitor site security.
- Review trade documentation and monitor safety compliance for trade contractors.
- Verify that equipment and tool inspections are documented correctly.
- Notify stakeholders of incidents and support investigations.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with team members.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a degree program.
- Preference for those working toward a Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Occupational Health and Safety or a safety designation.
- Ability to learn OH&S and environmental legislation and HSE processes.
- Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to resolve conflicts with craft workers and maintain stakeholder relationships.
- Problem-solving skills and an interest in learning construction processes and terminology.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and an aptitude for learning new technology.

- Location: Phoenix, Arizona.
- This is a full-time, on-site, paid position with a rolling term.
