About the role#
This is a full-time internship for Summer 2027 based in Otsego, Michigan. You will work on-site to help maintain a safe and clean work environment while supporting our operational safety goals.
What you'll do#
- Engage in daily safety practices to support a clean and safe work environment.
- Read and interpret safety rules, procedure manuals, and machining instructions.
- Review and update Job Safety Analysis documents.
- Assist with pre-start up safety reviews and crane lift plans.
- Complete special projects as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Currently enrolled in a bachelor's or master's degree program in Safety, Environmental Sciences, Public Health, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
- Strong analytical, mechanical conceptualization, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- A self-motivated, detail-oriented approach with a focus on teamwork.
- Ability to follow all policies regarding safety, waste handling, and environmental regulations.
