About the role#
This internship offers a look into the mortgage operations department at Park National Bank. You will support ongoing projects by documenting workflows and tracking milestones. The role involves hands-on work with data analysis and process improvement. You will also have the chance to network with leaders and associates across the bank.
What you'll do#
- Document workflows and track milestones for mortgage operations projects.
- Use Excel or Encompass reports to analyze data, identify trends, and spot operational bottlenecks.
- Prepare dashboards and summaries to support team decision-making.
- Lead a small-scale process improvement project with guidance from team leads.
- Present your project results to the relevant team members.
- Complete required training and participate in performance reviews.
- Maintain compliance with bank policies and risk management standards.
- Deliver service that meets the bank's Serving More standards.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate degree program, preferably in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or Operations Management.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience using Microsoft Excel.
- Basic data analysis skills.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking.
- Effective communication, organization, and time management skills.
- A sense of curiosity and initiative.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, paid position based in Newark, Ohio at the Alford Building.
- The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- The role follows a hybrid schedule with on-site work on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, and remote work on Tuesday and Thursday.
