About the role#
Palmetto Animal Hospital offers a practical externship program for veterinary students. What you'll do#
- Gather patient histories and perform physical examinations.
- Develop diagnostic and therapeutic plans for medical cases.
- Assist in managing cases and providing wellness care.
- Scrub in to assist with surgeries.
- Practice client communication and refine your technical skills.
- Produce accurate medical records and SOAPs.
- Work with an assigned mentor to meet your specific learning goals.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited DVM program.
- Authorization to work in the United States.
- Proof of professional liability insurance.
- A certificate of coverage submitted with your application.
