About the role#
As the first level of support for the Law School helpdesk, you will assist with basic hardware and software troubleshooting. You will receive training for all tasks, including ticket management and computer imaging. This position is open to students and does not require prior technical experience.
What you'll do#
- Respond to incoming 1st-level helpdesk tickets.
- Assist full-time technicians with technical tasks.
- Re-image computers.
- Maintain Pharos printers by checking status and refilling paper.
- Document your work by creating tickets in the ITS helpdesk system.
- Lift and move computer equipment as needed.
What you'll need#
- Strong customer service and organizational skills.
- Clear written and verbal communication.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- A reliable and patient approach when working with visitors.
- Ability to work independently.
- Previous office experience is a plus.
Location & details#
- Location: White Plains, New York.
- Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: Maximum 20 hours per week during the semester and up to 35 hours per week during breaks. Specific hours are set with your supervisor.
