About the role#
We are looking for a Marketing Intern to take ownership of how Overlap shows up in the world. You will run social media accounts, develop creative campaigns, and help produce events. This is not a role where you simply follow a content calendar. We want someone with original ideas and the ability to turn those ideas into things people see. You will work directly with the founders and have the freedom to experiment with how we communicate as an AI company.
What you'll do#
- Turn product launches, customer wins, and company milestones into content.
- Manage and grow our presence on X, LinkedIn, Instagram, and TikTok.
- Develop and execute marketing campaigns from concept to distribution.
- Create social graphics, short-form videos, and other launch assets.
- Help plan and execute events, dinners, conferences, and community initiatives.
- Work with customers and partners on co-marketing opportunities.
- Find unconventional ways to get Overlap in front of the right audience.
- Pitch and own your own marketing initiatives.
- Experiment, measure your results, and double down on what works.
What you'll need#
- Exceptional taste and a strong sense of what looks and feels good.
- Deep familiarity with social media and internet culture.
- Strong writing and communication skills.
- Ability to take an idea from a blank page to a finished product.
- Creative instincts that go beyond standard marketing playbooks.
- High agency and the ability to make things happen.
- Comfort moving quickly without perfect instructions.
- Willingness to work in-person in San Francisco.

- This is a full-time, paid internship.
- The role is based on-site in San Francisco, California.
- We are looking for candidates pursuing degrees in Marketing, Communications, or Media Studies.
