About the role#
As a Simplification Intern, you will support teams with workflow improvements and process simplification initiatives. You will learn to identify inefficiencies, document processes, and drive practical changes that improve team effectiveness. This role provides hands-on experience applying problem-solving skills to real business challenges within a collaborative environment.
What you'll do#
- Assist with workflow analysis and process documentation across Aftermarket functions.
- Identify opportunities to simplify or improve existing processes and tools.
- Support the development of standardized documentation and communication tools.
- Gather and analyze data to understand where processes can be streamlined.
- Collaborate with team members across different functions to understand current workflows.
- Participate in meetings to collect information and verify process details.
- Create visual process maps or workflow documentation to support improvement efforts.
- Propose recommendations for process changes based on analysis and team input.
- Handle other duties or projects as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Bachelor's degree program in Business Administration, Operations Management, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering, Information Systems, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- A graduation date of December 2027 or later.
- A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or greater.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills or experience with data analysis.
- Familiarity with process improvement approaches such as Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies.
- Experience working on cross-functional teams or group projects.
- Comfort with tools like Excel, process mapping software, Power BI, or project management platforms.
- Good communication skills and a willingness to ask questions.
- An eagerness to learn and drive results through collaboration.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, paid, rolling internship.
- The work is on-site in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, or a Michigan location, depending on team assignment.
