About the role#
The Product Safety & Reliability Intern will work alongside safety professionals to support projects across the full product life cycle. You will gain experience in safety, compliance, and reliability while building relationships across engineering, service, and marketing departments. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Frederick, Maryland.
What you'll do#
- Research standards and regulations for new and existing products.
- Help evaluate product features for inclusion in manuals and warning decals.
- Work with advanced technology teams to assess autonomy solutions for regulatory compliance.
- Assist with research regarding customer inquiries about safe use and equipment modifications.
- Prepare technical documentation such as Field Service Bulletins and Service Information.
- Attend cross-functional meetings with Training, Service, Technical Publications, and Marketing teams.
- Support team processes to ensure alignment with improvement activities.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor's degree program in Engineering or a related field.
- A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Strong organization and communication skills.
- A desire to learn problem-solving and continuous improvement tools.
- Knowledge of construction or agricultural equipment is a plus.
- Experience or coursework in electro-mechanical or mechatronics systems.
- Prior internship or work experience in Product Safety, Compliance, Reliability, or Improvement Engineering is preferred.
