About the role#
This Manufacturing Engineer Internship offers hands-on experience in a production environment. You will work on projects related to fabrication processes, automation, and facility efficiency. This position is based in McConnellsburg, Pennsylvania, and requires on-site attendance.
What you'll do#
- Review and develop welding procedures based on industry standards.
- Support automation initiatives, including cost analysis, programming, and system integration.
- Perform engineering calculations and investigations related to fabrication.
- Manage project tasks to ensure quality and meet deadlines.
- Provide technical support for prototype, pilot, and production builds.
- Recommend designs for fixtures and tooling.
- Analyze workspace layouts and workflows to improve efficiency.
- Process engineering information through change notices and continuous improvement requests.
- Assist senior engineers with design preparation, computation methods, and reporting.
- Evaluate legislative and regulatory proposals for project impact.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing an associate or bachelor’s degree in weld engineering, robotics, mechatronics, programming, engineering, or a related field.
- A background in fabrication.
- Experience with offline programming.
