About the role#
This is a summer 2027 internship based in Dodge Center, Minnesota. You will work on-site at McNeilus, an Oshkosh Company, supporting various engineering teams including design, production, and testing. This is a full-time position for students pursuing a degree in mechanical engineering.
What you'll do#
- Provide technical assistance to projects directly on the assembly floor.
- Design, model, and test new mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
- Evaluate and update existing hydraulic circuits.
- Manage Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) and update bills of materials in the PDM system.
- Assist with vehicle testing and analyze system failures to determine root causes.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor's degree program for Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Strong mechanical aptitude.
- Proficiency with SolidWorks or a similar CAD system.
- Ability to read and interpret hydraulic symbols and schematics.
