About the role#
This internship provides support for the Software Engineering team at McNeilus Truck and Manufacturing. You will work on projects ranging from simple tasks to complex analytical assignments. This is a full-time, paid position for Summer 2026 located on-site in Dodge Center, Minnesota.
What you'll do#
- Design reliable, functional, and cost-effective vehicle control software.
- Develop and test programming for vehicles and systems.
- Write quality, maintainable, object-oriented C++ software.
- Develop and maintain PC programs used for the configuration of truck specific programming.
- Test truck specific programming to ensure the programming operates as specified.
What you'll need#
- Working toward a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- A strong academic record with a minimum GPA of 3.0.
- Experience with C or C++ programming or a similar language.
- Experience writing embedded applications on microcontrollers.
