About the role#
As a Quality Engineer Intern, you will support process and product quality across our manufacturing operations. You will work alongside our Quality Department staff to ensure our products meet high standards. This role requires a professional, cooperative attitude and the ability to work across teams to solve problems.
What you'll do#
- Review and develop quality documentation, data, and reports.
- Assist in the development of built in quality (BIQ) processes for production lines.
- Communicate with internal teams and suppliers to prevent and correct quality issues.
- Participate in internal and external quality audits.
- Assist staff with the disposition of defective material.
- Work with Quality and Manufacturing teams to resolve issues.
- Maintain company records and documents according to policies.
- Travel to Riceville occasionally as required.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s degree program in Quality, Engineering, Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- A GPA of 3.0 or greater.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to proactively complete assigned tasks.
