About the role#
This is a year-round internship based in Appleton, Wisconsin. You will assist engineers and designers with daily tasks to support the electrical engineering department. This role requires working on-site and managing multiple priorities independently.
What you'll do#
- Create part numbers in ERP systems using established naming processes.
- Prepare engineering drawings, layouts, and schematics.
- Draft engineering change notices (ECN) based on design layouts and Bills of Material.
- Maintain electrical system Bills of Material (BOM) to meet industry and corporate standards.
- Coordinate with suppliers to verify the quality of electrical system designs.
- Address component obsolescence for purchased electrical parts.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing an Associate’s degree in Electrical Design, Electrical Engineering Technology, or Electronic Engineering Technology.
- A GPA of 3.0 or greater.
- Ability to work full time (40 hours per week) during the summer and part-time during the school year.
- A high level of attention to detail.
