About the role#
This internship provides hands-on experience within our Logistics and Warehouse Operations team. You will work alongside professionals to analyze data, improve operational efficiency, and support daily distribution activities. This role is a paid position for the Winter 2027 term and is based on-site in Hopewell Junction, New York. What you'll do#
- Assist with daily logistics and warehouse operations.
- Support inventory management and cycle count activities using Oracle EBS and WMS.
- Review, track, and update shipment information, receipts, and inventory transactions.
- Monitor order fulfillment to ensure accuracy and on-time delivery.
- Generate and analyze logistics performance reports and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Troubleshoot inventory discrepancies and transaction errors.
- Support process improvement initiatives focused on inventory accuracy and warehouse efficiency.
- Participate in root cause analysis for shipping, receiving, and inventory issues.
- Collaborate with Supply Chain, Customer Service, Manufacturing, and Quality teams.
- Maintain documentation and records related to logistics and warehouse operations.
- Support special projects related to transportation, warehousing, and supply chain optimization.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Detail-oriented with strong data accuracy skills.
- Prior coursework or exposure to Supply Chain, Logistics, or Operations Management is preferred.
- Familiarity with ERP systems, preferably Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS).
- Basic understanding of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
- Experience with data analysis and reporting tools.
- Interest in warehouse operations, inventory management, and continuous improvement.
