About the role#
We are looking for a student to join our Tax team in Toronto for a 12-month term starting at the end of April 2027. You will assist with tax compliance needs and various projects. This position is full-time and paid.
What you'll do#
- Prepare corporate, partnership, and trust tax returns.
- Prepare GST/HST returns and other tax-related filings.
- Research and analyze tax issues.
- Draft technical memos, instruction letters to legal counsel, and other tax documents.
- Assist with government audits and enquiries.
- Support US tax matters as needed.
What you'll need#
- Currently enrolled in an Accounting and Financial Management program, in your 3rd or 4th year.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to research.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with computers. Experience with Corporate Taxprep, Trust Taxprep, and Partnership Taxprep is an asset.
- Ability to multi-task, manage your time, and meet tight deadlines.
- A detail-oriented approach to produce accurate work.
- A professional, collaborative, and self-motivated mindset.
