About the role#
This internship offers hands-on experience in structural engineering during the Summer 2027 term. You will work alongside experienced engineers on federal infrastructure projects, such as VA hospitals, Department of Defense facilities, and other government buildings. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Overland Park, Kansas.
What you'll do#
- Support conventional structural design and analytical tasks for high-impact infrastructure projects.
- Prepare structural calculations and write technical reports.
- Help produce construction documents using Revit.
- Collaborate with team members to deliver results for federal clients.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a bachelor or master degree program for civil or architectural engineering with a structural emphasis.
- An expected graduation date of May 2028.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Working knowledge of Autodesk Revit is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and communication skills.
