About the role#
As an intern on the Traffic & Technology team, you will perform hands-on work that connects your classroom learning to real-world engineering projects. You will contribute to traffic management and signal system solutions while working alongside our professional staff.
What you'll do#
- Use CAD software to create project plans.
- Perform traffic design work for signals, roundabouts, pavement markings, and signing.
- Develop temporary traffic control plans.
- Assist with traffic operations, signal timings, safety studies, and pedestrian circulation research.
- Travel to job sites to conduct field observations as project needs arise.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a civil engineering degree program.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Strong attention to detail and clear communication skills.
- An ability to contribute effectively within a team environment.
